Sight word bingo cards
Paste in this week's sight words and print a unique card for every student. The default list is a set of common early-reader words.
About these sight words bingo cards
Sight word bingo is a quick way to practice high-frequency words that early readers need to recognize instantly. Paste in your class list, or keep the default set of common early-reader words.
Because the generator shuffles every card, students cannot copy their neighbors. They have to read and find each word themselves, which is the whole point.

Ways to play
Say it, then show it
Say the word aloud, then hold up a calling slip so students can match the shape of the word too.
Read back to win
To claim bingo, a student reads the winning row aloud. It doubles as a quick fluency check.
Weekly list
Replace the list each week with that week's words and save a fresh set. Five or six new words mixed with review words works well.
Questions
How many sight words do I need?
A 3x3 card with a free space needs 8, a 4x4 card needs 16, and a 5x5 card with a free space needs 24. More words make cards more varied.
Can I use my school's word list?
Yes. Paste the words in the box, one per line or separated by commas.
Should I use a free space?
For beginning readers, yes. It makes the first round easier. Turn it off for review rounds.
